In 1968, 
a small town along the Schuykill River 
in Pennsylvania gave birth to a football team .
The Pottstown Firebirds
only existed three seasons but their legend lives on.
They gained notoriety through:





    Emmy award winning documentary produced by NFL Films '"The Pottstown Firebirds'"
    A book written by Jay Acton, entitled: "The Forgettables"
    A 'long distance relationship' with their fans remains, as an proactive community memory
    A subsequent documentary "Pottstown Revisited" produced 30 years post - original
